The logging workflow

The logging workflow in ClipLogger: 2 practical answers from the application reference.

ClipLogger logging workspace, from the current website design.

The workflow, in order

Open or safely offload a shoot. Create a project when the work needs structured fields or a cast. Set up a small palette, import a roster if useful, then prepare suggestions with the intended engine. Review a representative set before committing a large batch of decisions. Filter the confirmed log, collect selects, and validate an NLE handoff. Rename only after deciding whether existing edit projects depend on the current paths.

The subject lifecycle, step by step

Create or import a known subject record, then inspect the clip evidence that might belong to it. Confirm an association when the visible evidence and project context support it. Reject incorrect proposals; do not turn a low-quality crop or ambiguous jersey number into a confident identity. Revisit duplicates and missed appearances in Subject Review. A field value, a presence association, and a reviewed crop have related but distinct roles.
